  BIM Quality Lead/ Lead Modeler

  We are looking for a creative and self-motivated professional to join the team as a BIM Quality Lead/ Lead Modeler .

  The Position

  The lead role is responsible for managing the quality of our BIM content and ensuring that our standards are implemented and enforced to drive efficiency and consistency within the firm. Axiom BIM Designers are much more than just traditional drafters. They are expected to work independently and own all aspects of the 3D model coordination and drawing production. Our BIM Designers understand buildings and are capable of coordinating primary building elements without the need for much direction from an engineer. They are detail-oriented, tech-focused and have a desire to grow personally and professionally. BIM Designers are responsible for following the Axiom Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure quality work outputs during project design and in construction administration.

  Quality Lead Key Responsibilities Overview:

  · Maintain BIM quality control standards and suggest improvements as needed

  · Maintain “gold” standard for drawings – steel, wood, podium, and modular

  · Execute, maintain, and improve the overall BIM quality control process

  · Track, manage, and measure process for integrating quality control feedback into standards / training

  · Ongoing Training and Development of BIM personnel

  Lead Modeler Key Responsibilities Overview:

  · Produce structural drawings and create Revit models that meet quality standards (LOD 300)

  · Execute Sprint Plan

  o Create and communicate plan of approach to project management

  o Understand and document tasks to complete deliverable and estimate hours

  · Independently manage Client Coordination

  o Proactive and effective communication with clients, ability to coordinate with external team

  · Participate and Execute Continuous Improvement Activities

  o Seek out and participate in continuing education

  o Participate in material groups; update and improve standards and best practices

  o Growing proficiency in material, market and project types

  The Ideal Candidate

  Experience

  • 7+ years of experience using Autodesk Revit or other 3D modeling platform (structural background preferred but not required)
  • Familiar with building modeling and construction practices
  • Experience in creating and managing construction documents.
  • Experience in fast-paced work environment that requires multitasking.

  Skills and Abilities

  • Revit proficiency or experience in a 3D modeling platform
  • Highly organized with great time management
  • Ability and willingness to ask questions and think independently while working within a broader team
  • Enjoys creative problem solving and critical thinking
  • Exceptional reasoning and judgment
