      ECS is seeking a Biomedical Program Manager to work in our Arlington, VA office Please Note: This position is contingent upon [additional funding] .

      Job Description:

      Candidate sought to provide full-time on-site support to DARPA Biological Technology Office. This a team leadership role that includes a breadth of activities including: (i) supporting management and executive decision making, (ii) strategic vision definition for program portfolio, (iii) cooperatively building relationships across key stakeholders, (iv) cooperatively generating new concept ideas, and (v) managing and guiding a team to run daily operations. The portfolio lies at the intersection of mechanics, engineering, AI/ML, and medical solutions with efforts in autonomous patient care, autonomous patient evacuation, molecular responses to blast waves, alteration of cerebral physiology in space.

      Must be able to handle a wide variety of tasks related to day-to-day operations, creating and maintaining systems and processes to streamline operations, assisting and communicating in efficient decision making, and initiative implementation. The candidate may also serve as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation of technical documents. Additional duties include maintenance and organization of confidential files and data records, easing communications, and leading a dynamic team to successful program execution.

      Required Skills:

      • Active DoD Secret security clearance
      • US Citizenship required per contract.
      • At least 7 years of total work experience.
      • 5+ years of experience project/program/portfolio management involving multiple stakeholders, preferably in DoD R&D environment.
      • Outstanding organization, communication and coordination skills.
      • Expertise in one or all of the following areas: engineering mechanics, AI/ML, blast injury, patient care and evacuation, and human health in space.
      • M.S. in the biological sciences, chemistry, or engineering disciplines.

      Desired Skills:

      • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
      • Demonstrated experience thinking creatively with many inputs in pressure situations.
      • Ph.D. in the biological sciences, chemistry, or engineering disciplines.
      • MBA
