      Job Description:

      Supporting the Art Directors and Designers:

      - Assist with organizing art and laying out photo inserts and family trees
      - Create email templates for routing book materials and track approvals
      - Send follow-up emails and reminders to maintain schedules
      - Attend Production meetings and take notes for the design team
      - Design binding mechanicals and select binding materials

      Archiving and Preparation:

      - Archive final digital files of completed projects
      - Assist in the preparation of design layouts
      - Convert hardcover books to paperback format
      - Conduct research on book subject matter, typography, and images
      - Work towards designing books independently

      Essential Skills and Qualifications:

      - Possess a deeply inquisitive and creative mind with a love for typography
      - Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
      - Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
      - Strong written and verbal communication skills
      - Strong organizational skills
      - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
      - Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with a willingness to learn new applications

      Additional Information:

      - The salary for this position is $48,000. All positions are currently eligible for an annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
