- Successfully open new meat market stores with the agreed upon development schedule with the CEO
- Ensure that the GM’s of our stores are proactively managing each stores P&L, which includes maximizing top line, gross profit, labor, and other expenses, while ensuring an inspiring guest experience
- Implement the best CRM solution and evaluate the best go to market plan for maximizing the holiday gift market, via both the store level and creation of a dedicated sales force at HQ
- Contribute feedback to potential new product offerings and product assortment.
- Oversee the analytics needed to develop and maintain optimum pricing strategy
- Grow the EComm business 3-5X in the next 24 months
- Develop a culture within the sales organization that respects our team members and values teamwork, transparency, accountability, and personal development
- Four-year degree in business or agriculture
- At least five years’ experience directly managing multiple full time team members with proven track record of recruitment, development, and tenure
- Good understanding of accounting principles including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements
- Experience in sales and best practice sales processes
- Experience in sales forecasting and building pro forma financial statements
- Experience in DTC ecommerce
- Proven ability to work with a wide range of people and backgrounds
- Hungry and willing to put in the time and commitment necessary to aggressively scale a complex business model that’s never been done before
- Experience in the protein or grocery industry
- Willing to travel including overnight based on new store openings and business opportunities.
- A desire to relocate and put roots down in Manhattan KS
Company Description
Booth Creek Wagyu (BCW) is a vertically integrated wagyu beef company primarily located in and around Manhattan KS. The vision of BCW is to become the leading direct to consumer premium beef company in the US. BCW consists of four different companies that encompass the raising of terminal and breeding genetics on the ranch, its own processing facility, feedlot operations, and its own sales and distribution company with primary channels consisting of online sales and its own retail specialty “meat market” stores.
Job Description
The VP of Sales and Mktg will manage all facets of the front end of the business. In the retail channel, this position will lead the GMs of two existing meat market stores, along with GM’s of two new planned stores in 2024. As the store count grows this person will create the position of our first retail district manager that the stores will report in to. This role will build out the additional sales channels, to be conducted at the meat market store level, of restaurants and wholesale, holiday corporate gift boxes, and offering delivery service of our products to the customer via either third party delivery or our own in-house model. Our Director of Mktg will also report into this position. Ecommerce and other channels will also flow thru this role.
