Job Description

The Bosch Talent Academy is an educational platform established by Bosch with the aim of supporting young talents in universities. This academy provides university students with the opportunity to enhance their skills through seminars, technical case studies conducted by industry leaders.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, as part of the collaboration between Bursa Technical University and Bosch, three different seminar programs will be conducted, which are Automation, Artificial Intelligence & Digitalization, and Fuel Cell & Compressor.

The content of the Automation seminar program is as follows:

This automation program provides education based on industrial automation systems and robotic technologies. Participants learn how to use automation to optimize production processes and increase efficiency. The program includes the following main components:

1. Fundamentals of Automation Engineering: Focuses on the basic principles of industrial automation, how to develop a concept for automation systems, and the typical phases of building a high-tech engineered production line.
2. Electrical Design: Develops skills in designing and installing electrical components and systems. Emphasis is placed on how to design a machine based on DIN-EN 60204-1 standard in a safe way.
3. Software Design: Provides training in developing and programming PLC software including creation of Software Structure, Creating IO Lists, Devices, Manual modes, Robotic applications etc.
4. Hardware Check: Covers the control and function test of hardware units in a station like drivers, safety modules, I/Os etc., including failure diagnose.
5. Software Tryout and Commissioning: Testing and debugging of developed PLC software, including operation modes, auto cycles, special cycles and final commissioning.

Additionally, participants gain practical experience in software testing and applied commissioning processes. These skills will help establish a strong foundation in the fields of industrial automation and engineering.

Qualifications

Who can apply?

• Students in the Mechatronics and Electrical&Electronics Engineering department who are in their 3rd and 4th years of study can apply.
• The program is designed for students who have an interest or internship experience in areas such as Structured Programming (C, C#), Automation Software (Siemens, Codesys, IndraLogic, Beckhoff/TwinCAT), Electrical Design (E-PLAN P8, AutoCAD, Solid Works Electrical), and Robotics (Kuka, Stäubli, ABB), or have entry-level knowledge in these fields. It provides education that enables students to gain knowledge and skills in these areas.

When does it take place?

• The seminar program consists of a 5-week training program. The seminars will commence on Wednesday, February 21th, and conclude on Wednesday, March 20th. Each week, the seminars will be held on Wednesdays between 15:00 and 16:30 at Bursa Technical University. The location information will be shared in the announcement that will be sent to your email.
