- Raising public awareness and provision of consistent healthy lifestyle messaging, on issues relevant to the health of the community

Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and highly organised individuals to support our Knowsley Breastfeeding Peer Support Service.
This role will be pivotal in providing Breastfeeding Peer Support to Knowsley families and supporting with general community engagement within the service.
This role is to cover annual leave and staff sickness as and when the service requires.
This post will:
You will when the service requires, facilitate Breastfeeding Peer Support groups across Knowsley following full training. Provide service support including dealing with telephone calls / messages, electronic communication, appointment management, data entering and database management, and other general administrative duties.
Main duties of the job
We would like to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
Highly organised, enthusiastic and have exceptional interpersonal skills.Previous experience of providing 1:1 support to service users.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications and information technology skills.
Professional in your approach to work with flexibility, good time management and planning skills.
Practiced in supporting a wider team with processes and procedures.
Previous experience of working independently and as part of a team.
Conscientious and with a good eye for detail and confident in the handling of data.
Familiar with current GDPR regulations and have an understanding of the Patient Confidentiality act.

To facilitate Breastfeeding Peer Support drop in groups at local childrens centres across Knowsley.
This post will:
Facilitate weekly drop-in Breastfeeding Peer Support groups across Knowsley to support annual leave and staff sickness when required.
Provide support for the service when required e.g. handling telephone calls and messages, electronic communication and updating patient records on our system.
To use our patient data management system
Promote the service at local events.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Pre-arranged Breastfeeding Peer Support Groups running weekly in different areas of Knowsley to make it accessible for all Knowsley families.
To use the internal clinical IT system to manage our patient data.
Provide day to day support for the service e.g. handling telephone calls/messages, electronic communication and updating patient recordsEscalate patient issues and concerns to specialist teams when needed, using agreed mechanisms to document need, action and result, recognising skills boundaries. when needs exceed the skills and competencies.
Utilise a range of communication methods including digital technologies, telephone, email, and text to ensure patient-led support is proportionate to individual need.
Take lead to organise day to day tasks and resources management.
Be compliant with all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the appropriate code(s) of conduct associated with this post; maintain awareness of safeguarding issues, report and acting on concerns in accordance with Everyone Health and Local Authority policies and procedures.
Take responsibility for own CPD and participate in Everyone Healths induction, training and continual professional development as required; recognise and work within own competence and professional code of conduct.
Prioritise, organise and manage own workload in a manner that maintains and promotes high quality.
Be an ambassador for the Knowsley services, promoting the service to members of the public and other stakeholders/ partners, where appropriate.
Attend community venues weekly and when events are being held.
Manage and check the NHS Mailbox and liaise with each relevant team member.
Update patient spreadsheets.
