      Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large mortgage company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking a Broker Operations Assistant to join our team! This position is responsible for assisting with the processing and coordination of brokered loans, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

      What you'll be doing
      • Assisting in the setup of mortgage loan applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
      • Coordinating communication between broker investors, title/insurance companies, and other internal departments.
      • Verifying borrower information, including credit reports, income, assets, and other necessary documentation.
      • Monitoring loan progress and ensuring all timelines and milestones are met, providing updates to the broker coordinators and investors.
      • Monitoring and tracking loan pipelines to ensure timely processing and closing.
      • Assisting the broker coordinators with the preparation of loan files, ensuring that all necessary documents are obtained and properly organized for underwriting and approval.
      • Responsible for ordering title, hazard/flood insurance, appraisals and other necessary documentation on all broker loans.
      • Assisting the broker coordinators with responding to loan scenarios/product questions etc. from mortgage bankers and external/internal partners.
      • Ensuring compliance with all mortgage regulations, policies, and industry standards throughout the loan process.
      • Helping resolve any issues or discrepancies related to loan documentation or processing.
      • Staying informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and company policies to ensure best practices in mortgage operations.
      • Performing other duties as assigned.

      What you'll bring
      • At least 2 years' experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, or a similar role is preferred
      • Knowledge of mortgage products, processes, and regulations is preferred
      • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
      • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
      • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations efficiently
      • Proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
      • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence
      • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle a high-volume workload
