- Researches, compiles, and summarizes data concerning object class information needed for the formulation of budget estimates.
- Ensures funds are available and appropriate for requested expenditures (e.g. travel, transportation, supplies, contracts, equipment) by monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating obligation and commitment.
- Participates in mid-year and year-end reviews of current and projected fund status; participates in year-end budget closeout process to ensure full and proper use of expiring resources.
- Ensures all budgetary transactions are in compliance with authorized policies and procedures.
- Prepares and consolidates a variety of special and recurring budget reports covering the status of funds, expenses, and obligations.
- Advises staff and customers on the status of funds in different accounts.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Practitioner in the Acquisition Career Field (Business Financial Management) within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires Financial Management Level 2 certified position must be able to obtain certification within 24 months of appointment.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to carry out the functions of this position. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties which includes: 1) Executing funds in systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) accounting database according to fiscal law, regulations, policies, and/or procedures for the organization; 2) Monitoring obligations of funds against budget to ensure expenditures are within the amount allocated; and, 3) Preparing a variety of reports about the status of funds, expenses, and obligations for budget request. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).About the company
