What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support budget formulation and execution activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial management
- Prepare regular and special budget reports, analyzing monthly budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls
- Ensure compliance with federal financial and accounting systems requirements, including multi-year and no-year appropriations
- Prepare milestone documentation, presentations, and briefing materials for senior managers and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with financial management professionals and program stakeholders to meet customer requirements within specified timeframes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Approximately 8 years of experience in budget formulation, financial analysis, or related fields
- Thorough knowledge of federal financial and accounting systems and requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex budget and accounting data
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present financial documentation and briefings to senior leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Project Management Professional (PMP)
