What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and implement the department's biennial and annual operating budgets
- Coordinate and manage program budgets while analyzing organizational effectiveness
- Prepare analysis and fiscal estimates of proposed legislation
- Act as a liaison with the State Budget Office for budget requests and changes
- Research and develop department policy related to veterans and their dependents

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience performing statistical, legislative, and financial analysis
- Proven ability to prepare and present complex financial reports
- Experience administering or managing grants or federal funding
- Knowledge of analyzing public policies and proposed policy changes
- Ability to interpret and apply federal or state statutes

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with complex state and federal programs affecting veterans
- Familiarity with financial operations of long-term care facilities
