      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Evaluate department budget requests and recommend adjustments based on financial analysis
      - Build relationships with departments to assist with problem-solving and process improvement
      - Identify and resolve budget-related issues for various city departments
      - Perform citywide position management functions and maintain accuracy in the HRIS system
      - Conduct data analytics to support departmental restructuring and budget preparation

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in accounting, budgeting, finance, or a related field
      - Minimum of one year of budget or accounting experience, or equivalent education and experience
      - Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, or finance principles
      - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      - Considerable analytical and decision-making skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master's Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field
      - Previous experience in budget preparation and financial management
      - Familiarity with evaluation techniques for service delivery and program performance
      - Experience in researching funding issues and evaluating budget submissions
