- Experience developing or managing budgets.
- Experience with policy development or analysis.
- Experience analyzing data and presenting gathered information through presentations and reports.
- Experience with health policy development and analysis.
- Experience providing financial oversight for large programs (i.e. greater than $5 million) through the monitoring, analysis, or reporting of budgets/expenditures.
- Experience with the contract life cycle, including procurement and contract management activities.
- Experience working in a government or health care organization or system.

Introduction
The Department of Health Services (DHS) , Division of Medicaid Services (DMS) is recruiting for a Budget & Policy Analyst within the Bureau of Fiscal Accountability and Management.
This position has the ability to work remotely up to 5 days per week but may be required to report to the Madison central office on occasion for certain tasks or meetings. This position can be headquartered at one of our central or regional offices . This schedule may vary based on training or operational need.

Position Summary
As a Budget & Policy Analyst, you will be part of a team responsible for managing DMS' administrative budget and Medicaid contracts and appropriations. You will have responsibilities in the areas of budgeting, cost analysis, research, projection, development and monitoring, fiscal management purchasing, manage and oversight of appropriations and data analysis, procurements and contract development and negotiations.
Salary Information
The starting pay is between $38.00 and $42.50 per hour (approximately between $79,000 and $88,400 per year) depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as a Budget & Policy Analyst Division - Advanced and is in pay schedule and range 81/03.
