      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct energy modeling, data analysis, and building performance evaluations
      - Support research and development, monitoring and evaluation, and regulatory compliance projects
      - Prepare technical reports and assist with proposals and regulatory filings
      - Present research findings and technical results to clients and stakeholders
      - Collaborate on developing and refining California Title 24 Building Energy Standards

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, Energy Systems, or a related field
      - 3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering or technical roles
      - Strong proficiency with Excel, including data analysis and advanced formulas
      - Basic understanding of California's grid resilience and energy reduction strategies
      - Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 3-5 years of work experience specifically within the energy sector
      - Professional certifications such as LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or Engineer in Training (EIT)
      - Proficiency with building energy modeling software including EnergyPlus and OpenStudio
      - Familiarity with the California regulatory environment and energy efficiency programs
      - Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects with client communications
