- Provide support to the organization addressing critical risk management gaps to meet the following top three Consumer Lending and CMS business objectives:
- Complete all regulatory deliverables including RCSA and ENGIn
- Improve Audit results by addressing SHRP issues inventory and deep engagement on every audit
- Reduce frequency and severity of customer remediations
- Participate in research, assessment, and documentation of matters relating to the business’ policy and regulatory adherence, risk mitigation, or control efforts; identify patterns and trends and looks for opportunities for procedural or control improvements within area of focus
- Conduct assessments and analysis of basic business or operational outcomes, systems of record, technical assignments, documentation, procedures, or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives; exercise independent judgment to guide completion of medium risk deliverables
- Present concise and well-articulated findings and recommendations, including rationale, to facilitate resolution of identified matters; exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the risk mitigation or control activities of the business
- 2+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Understanding of Cards and Merchant Services processes, capabilities, and services and where they manifest risk
- Proven project management skills
- Analytical ability used to identify risks and confidently raise issues, escalate early, and engage in constructive credible challenge
- Ability to proactively manage and resolve conflict and effectively defend decisions with objective rationale
- Knowledge of risk management framework including corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type
- Demonstrated ability to assess and determine when to raise concerns and escalate to align with Wells Fargo’s ethical standards
- Ability to travel domestically

About this role:
Wells Fargo’s Card and Merchant Services Group (CMS) is seeking a Business Accountability Specialist to join the newly created CMS Business Accountability/Audit Readiness team. This role will support the business in building and maintaining a strong risk management environment.
The Cards & Merchant Services (CMS) team helps customers by providing a variety of products across the credit spectrum. The team delivers industry leading rewards, offers, benefits, and payment-processing solutions that recognize and celebrate our customers’ relationship with Wells Fargo.
The CMS team works together with many businesses across the company, including the bankers in our 5,000-plus bank branches to provide financing in the form of general-purpose cards, co-branded cards and private-label and industry cards. Merchant Services offers businesses of all sizes solutions to accept card payments onsite, online, or on the go. The team has more than 6,000 employees and is focused on helping our customers succeed financially.

Pay Range
