  Overview: CDT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst Intern to support our data-driven business operations and enhance data science capabilities across our platforms. This internship is ideal for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in data science, analytics, business information systems, or a related field. The position offers valuable exposure to enterprise tools like Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Crowdstrike, with a focus on preparing interns for future roles in business intelligence and operational analytics.
  This internship is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings in the Ashburn, Virginia area. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and the position complies with relevant internship regulations in Virginia and/or Maryland. This is an unpaid educational experience .
  
  Responsibilities:
  • Assist in organizing, cleaning, and validating business data within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Support the design and optimization of dashboard views and reporting features using Crowdstrike's data visualization tools.
  • Create documentation and visual workflows of business operations and data pipelines.
  • Analyze operational trends and develop summaries to help drive business decisions.
  • Support internal stakeholders with data entry, management, and categorization within CRM platforms.
  • Participate in regular data review sessions and contribute to troubleshooting and data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in compiling weekly reports and developing insights from business performance data
  Qualifications:
  • Current undergraduate student majoring in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in business operations and data-driven decision-making.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with databases, data structures, or CRM systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of internship start
  Details:
  • Location: Remote (occasional in-person meetings in Ashburn, VA)
  • Hours: Flexible; approximately 10-15 hours per week
  • Compensation: Unpaid (educational internship)
  • Start Date: Rolling applications; timing flexible based on school schedule
  • Supervision: Interns will be mentored and supervised by senior team members
