What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and API integration
- Provide HL7 integration architecture, development, enhancement, testing, and support
- Maintain working knowledge of LIMS and troubleshoot system functionality
- Collaborate with other analysts to communicate LIMS priorities and informatics needs
- Collect and document data requirements, and assist with user acceptance testing
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience implementing and maintaining complex software systems
- Ability to determine user needs and convert them into business and technical requirements
- Experience working with large databases and data retrieval
- Degree in Epidemiology, Laboratory Science, Computer Science, or Informatics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Employment experience and knowledge of laboratory methodology and processes
- Experience with Labware LIMS and performing queries or modifying minor coding issues
- Understanding of health data formats such as HL7, XML, and SNOMED CT
- Experience teaching end users how to use complex software systems
- Ability to evaluate and implement process improvements
