What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Approve Business Banking commercial credit requests and provide credit recommendations for loan originations, renewals, extensions, and modifications
- Conduct thorough underwriting and credit analysis of borrower and transaction-level credit information
- Review assigned Business Banking portfolios to identify credit risk and recommend risk-mitigating actions
- Utilize credit and underwriting systems to evaluate credit requests and prepare well-documented recommendations
- Analyze financial statements and assess creditworthiness in accordance with business banking policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Typically five or more years of relevant experience in credit analysis
- Strong analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of credit analysis and risk analysis
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using various software packages
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree or CPA certification
- Background in economics, accounting, or finance
- Effective technical report writing skills
- Previous experience in monitoring a commercial loan portfolio
