Job Description
- Req#: 7364
- Compliance Monitoring and Oversight: Conduct daily compliance risk assessments within business operations for client onboarding and periodic and transaction reviews. This includes Know Your Customer (KYC) and due diligence checks to identify potential risks and compliance issues.
- Advisory Role: Provide guidance and support to the Private Clients Central and Eastern Europe (PC CEE) business unit on compliance related matters. This includes support in internal onboarding procedures, acting as a business partner, assessing and mitigating identified risks such as AML, PEP, sanctions, and reputational risks, and facilitating the development of legal and compliant solutions.
- Incident Management: Investigate compliance related incidents or breaches and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate with other teams in managing compliance related risks and actions.
- Ad-hoc Requests: Address and respond to ad-hoc compliance related inquiries from various Legal and Compliance units (e.g. Life Cycle, Financial Crime teams), providing timely and accurate guidelines. Assist in compiling data and information required for specific compliance projects or initiatives on short notice.
- Strong knowledge of core compliance topics and the ability to apply them in high-risk environments.
- Proven track record of experience as a Compliance or Business Risk Officer in the area of high-risk clients and markets.
- Market knowledge, with a particular focus on Central / Eastern Europe.
- Proven experience in helping a business function to further develop and find the most relevant solutions to support sustainable long-term growth and manage the risks of sensitive client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an attention to detail to identify risks and potential issues effectively.
- Ability to understand and synthesize legal and regulatory concepts and translate them for business stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Fluency in English and German. Proficiency in Russian and Ukrainian is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a standalone position with daily interactions with the business function and compliance stakeholders.
