- Leads the implementation of optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts
- Manages the performance and productivity of team members that conduct quality inspection reviews
- Ensures timely execution of QA activities including control execution, case management, and results reporting
- Manages and reviews all operations front line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews
- Ensures accuracy of data and that relevant information is captured for inspection metrics to support governance for dashboard reporting

Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include executing LOB or ECF processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include supporting the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation, and building out actions plans and milestones.Responsibilities:
Job Summary
The GMO Global Risk Issues leader role sits within the Global Market Operations Risk Function providing oversight of issues and events across Global Market Operations. This role will lead and maintain strong routines in support of the Core Operations functions for Global Market Operations. This position is highly visible and requires frequent interaction with Senior Management and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Tracking and ongoing governance across Ops Events (ORCIT), SII, AII, DART, Complaints, Infosafes to ensure all deliverables are met.
Work with the GMO Governance Function to develop and maintain regular reporting across both GMO and FLU / LOB level as required.
Coordinate with impacted GMO FLUs, Enterprise Partners and Risk to ensure all timelines are communicated and delivered accurately and timely
Work with the dedicated Risk Leads and LOBS to identify themes and carry out horizontal assessments across multiple FLUs to identify risk and agree remediation plans
Provide regular status reports to Senior Management, communicate findings and work with associated FLUs and Risk Partners to mitigate the risk over issues identified.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business, control and risk partners
Drive effective routines and communications to ensure all required periodic and ad hoc deliverables are met
Carry out analytics on key risk themed data to support identification of emerging risks; design and implement data themed reporting for Senior Teams.
Support strategic initiatives related to GMO issues and event management, including processes, technology and functionality changes, and implementation across GMO.Required Skills
Knowledge of enterprise risk framework, issue and event management, enterprise policies, procedures, and standards preferred
Previous experience within a risk and control environment would be an advantage
Broad exposure to processes across Global Market Operations
Understanding of the Enterprise Process Management Policy an advantage but not essentialProven experience in drafting communications and presentation materials intended for senior audiences is essential
Strong organizational, planning, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills with attention to detail
Excellent project management skills
Self-starter with the ability to influence, build trusted relationships, deal constructively with conflict, problem solve / troubleshoot issues for themselves and others, and adapt to a fast-paced environment involving multiple and simultaneous deliverables
Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills
Data analytics to support thematic reviews and risk identification would be considered an advantageStrives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions.
