Acts as a liaison with AgriLife Research HR and AgriLife Administrative Services operations on behalf of the Evidence Center.
Assists in the management of HR and payroll-related duties including updating position descriptions, and development of employment offers.
Assists in the management of business processes, such as purchasing, reconciliation, reimbursements, travel reports, account reconciliations, etc.
Serves as a back-up approver of vouchers and requisitions.
Assists with the management of financial transactions, including assigning costs to appropriate accounts and projects.
Supports the monitoring and control of unit expenditures plan within budget guidelines.
Assists in the development of annual budget documents for approval and makes recommendations; assists in the planning, preparation and implementation of budget activities.
Assists in capital equipment purchases and maintains inventories for capital equipment, IT equipment, software, etc.
Bachelor’s degree
2 years of experience
5 years of experience
Experience working in a university system business administration
Strong written and verbal communications skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proven ability to collaborate with others.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

The Business Coordinator I, under general supervision, acts as the business coordinator on behalf of the Texas A&M Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Evidence Center.

Texas A&M Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Evidence Center (Evidence Center) is a newly created center with the mission to be an authoritative source of objective information and analysis on the Agri-Food system’s effects on health, the environment, and the economy. The Evidence Center conducts and publishes state-of-the-art research synthesis studies of different types (e.g., systematic reviews, meta-analyses) important for understanding the impact of agriculture, food, nutrition, and natural resource policies on human, environmental, and economic health and sustainability. The Evidence Center drives the next generation of research synthesis methodologies that are rigorous and transparent and acts as a leading convener in gaining global consensus on standards of evidence, as well as promotes and strengthens public trust in science-informed policies and solutions.
What We Want:
The Texas A&M Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Evidence Center seeks a Business Coordinator I who will provide administrative support to the Evidence Center.
