Description
Location: Burlington, MA
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field; MBA preferred
Outcomes:
The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes in the first year on the position:
· Build a $600M annual pipeline of new business opportunities.
· Improve win rate by 30% of submitted proposals.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Lead in growing revenue by building on the company’s current contract base while identifying and developing new business opportunities/growth areas.
· Build a solid pipeline of vetted opportunities for which Gemini is well positioned to be competitive.
· Build a network of teammates/partners to pursue work in new markets as a Prime or subcontractor and maintain solid, current knowledge of competitors.
· Ensure the continued growth and success of the company through strategic BD planning, and the implementation of best-in-class procedures; troubleshoot unsuccessful efforts and analyze patterns of success.
· Keeps abreast of overall market trends, customer budgets and competitive position in the market.
· Develop and maintain high quality relationships with various DOD and Federal customers.
· Provide leadership and guidance to proposal team from proposal inception to completion. Periodically write proposals and lead color team reviews.
· Uses information about customer needs as the basis for problem solving and decision making.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have the following qualifications:
· At least 10 years of experience, including 7 years of experience conducting business development in the Federal Government professional services marketplace.
· Demonstrated track record of experience leading growth in new markets – whether they be by geography or customer segments.
· Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
· Track record of building a network of teaming partners for both Prime and subcontractor work.
· Strong analytical, problem solving, and general finance skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders at all organizational levels.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Familiarity with GovWin and BGov a plus.
· Strong attention to detail.
Travel: Travel outside Tampa, FL, 10-15%.
