      Job Summary

      Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.

      To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we currently have a unique opportunity as we look to add a Business Development Manager to further expand our client base. This role can be based anywhere in the UK but with a strong preference in the London area.

      Reporting to the CPS Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will serve as the liaison between the client and Anord Mardix, the role will centre around supporting the growth of the CPS division across the EMEA region; addressing customers’ needs and concerns whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships across the client network. The role will also focus on building and maintaining relationships with business executives and stakeholders, preparation of sales reports and identifying new opportunities for the CPS division as well introducing the broader range of critical power solutions manufactured by Anord Mardix.

      What a typical day looks like:

      • Support our Strategic Growth plan in conjunction with the Head of Sales and related key leadership stakeholders to accomplish the following:

        • Produce and maintain CPS sales opportunity pipeline in line with the company strategy

        • Esta blish & d evelop new partnerships in region to support the CPS Service offering In c l ud i ng identifying partner selection criteria and s electing partners and developing s u p port programs in conjunction with the Site Services Team

        • Develop a nd im ple m e nt target d a ta ce nter provider and e nd user acc o u nt strategy

        • Reduce the business exposure to service contracts that are low margin and have direct impact on site service engineering capability

      • Manage the tender proposal process and oversee administration in collaboration with respective business unit colleagues

      • Collaborate with the Site Services Team to ensure that we are working towards delivering the required services in region to our key strategic clients, and we remain competitive towards achieving our company goals and objectives

      • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure that we have agreements in place with key equipment suppliers that are aligned with our company strategy to achieve best value for our sales proposition

      • Mon itor m a r ket tre nds a nd i d e ntify i m p act on services offering a nd su ggest n ew ways to pro m ote the CPS division in conjunction with our marketing team

      The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

      • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical Sales role ideally within a Service lead industry

      • Experience selling Critical Power Services within the Hyperscale / Cloud, Co-Location, Hybrid or Edge Compute Data Centre space as well as selling into Facilities Management businesses would be advantageous

      • Proven sales experience delivering sustainable growth in targeted markets

      • C o m puter literate with high level of Po w erP o i nt ex p ertise, PC pro ficie n cy in Microso ft Office a nd or Google Suite with hands on w orking k no wle d ge of s ales cycle, c ontact ma n ag e m e nt d ata b ases a nd CRM / ERP syste ms

      • Sup eri or orga nizati on al, interp ers on al, c o m m unication, n eg otiation, staff management plus d evelop me nt a nd op erati o nal skills

      • Superior c o m m unication skills

      • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and electrical schematics

      • Proficient prese ntation skills and comfortable i nteracting with all levels of ma n ag e me nt

      • Hig hly s elf - m otiv ated with the ability to m otivate and coach oth ers to deliver successful outcomes

      • T his positi on re quires regular travel across the UK and limited travel across the EMEA region
