      If you are a Business Development or Key Account professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting remote opportunity for you based in Houston, Texas! You will engage Industrial Automation customers to form positive relationships with key partners at all levels and be a customer advocate both external and internal. Developing a deep knowledge of customers' key goals and how Emerson can provide solutions to help meet them.

      IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

      • Carry out Industrial Automation /Sales growth plan for Software, Controls and Discrete Automation Solutions in Refining, Chemical, Life Science, Food and Beverage, Power with a key focus on up stream, midstream and downstream oil, and gas
      • Responsible to lead & grow large OEM, EPC, End User, Integrator, Channel relationships and opportunities: currently selling into Industrial Automation with the goal of getting our solutions specified and added to customer AML/AVLs, Instrument Specifications, Automation, Controls & Information Standards, and Machinery Specifications.
      • Identify key partners within the target accounts organization, who will have an influence on a developing opportunity.
      • Engage with strategic targets that promote growth with key USER accounts and develop relationships within Industrial Automation.
      • Document via CRM or Emerson account management documentation, account details, personnel, and organization makeup within target accounts
      • Train and be the segment lead on Emerson technologies being sold in Industrial Automation applications
      • Coordinate with local, regional, and global contacts on opportunities, specification influence, and market initiatives.
      • Primary contact for Regional Sales along with collaboration regionally on strategies, global engagement, and programs to support near-term/mid-term growth for our Industrial Automation business and participating in Segment planning and forecasting efforts.
      • Provide a high-level overview of activities internally to the management team, being an advocate for target customers to gain internal support and required resources.

You instill trust in the customers you serve and develop Win-Win situations for your customers and Emerson by having a strategic demeanor. You show resourcefulness and are resilient at balancing collaborators’ goals.

      FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industrial sales experience
      • 3 years of Industrial experience
      • Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word, Excel and Power Point.
      • Technical proficiency with the ability to understand technical issues and troubleshoot problems.
      • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
      • Valid driver's license.
      • Ability to travel 40% with overnight and extended travel days within the assigned territory.
      • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
      • Basic understanding of Valve Automation, Controls, Software and Solutions
      • Fluid Control, Fluid Power, Instrumentation, Controls and Software knowledge/experience
      • Proficiency in using CRM software, and sales-related tools.
