      Now is a great time to join HP’s Advanced Compute and Solutions organization. Our high-performance compute and Emmy-winning remoting software are the foundation for a new Edge business to deliver innovative compute models and workflows to enable hybrid compute.

      As the Business Development Manager for Edge Computing as a Service, you will identify and cultivate new business opportunities and develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients to drive growth through account-based sales practices. This role requires deep understanding of cloud and Edge technologies, customer workflows in a multitude of industries and a background of solution selling at a CxO level.

      Desired location is London/Reading; option available for remote work in the UK. This role will involve travelling to London regularly, as well as regular travel within EU.

      Responsibilities:

      • Own and drive execution of pipeline goals by understanding and analyzing top of the funnel metrics, pipeline quality, and revenue produces across the market segment
      • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to drive Edge business growth through new accounts, as well as expanding existing accounts
      • Orchestrate inbound and outbound prospecting activities and programs to build a quality sales pipeline
      • Oversee and direct lead generation activities to foster effective lead nurturing and conversion; lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and close deals to meet business targets
      • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients and stakeholders, engaging at multiple layers within the customer organization from users, through to tech leadership, to CxO level
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement effective strategies to maximize success of the customer journey and deliver a great customer experience
      • Consistently feed back customer experience and market conditions to the cross-functional product management, marketing and development teams
      • Proactively stay informed about industry regulations, tax incentives, market conditions, and customer needs.
      • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to optimize business development efforts and make data-driven decisions
      • Provide regular reports and updates to management on business development activities, lead conversion trends, and accurate tracking against business KPIs
      • Continuously assess and improve sales processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness
      • Develop and build productive internal/external working relationships and provide mentoring and guidance to other team members

      Required Experience and Skills:

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field
      • 10+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a relevant role
      • Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs
      • Strong background in Cloud and Edge technologies
      • Proficient in using CRM software and other business development tools
      • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
      • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners, demonstrated ability for customer empathy and business success
      • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
      • Strategic thinker with problem-solving and decision-making abilities
      • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic business environment
      • Willingness to travel as needed
