      Offit Kurman, a fast-growing full-service law firm, is currently seeking two Business Development Managers. The Business Development Manager is responsible for working with attorneys, practice groups, and industry groups to proactively drive strategic business development activity across the firm. The individual works collaboratively with the Director of Business Development, the Senior Business Development Manager, and the entire Marketing/Business Development team.

      One open role is expected to work primarily with Commercial Litigation, Labor & Employment, and Intellectual Property practice groups, as well as various cross-serving and firm-wide initiatives. One open role is expected to work primarily with Family Law, Estates & Trusts, and Landlord Representation practice groups, as well as various cross-serving and firm-wide initiatives.

      The individual must possess strong leadership, management, and organizational skills, and the ability to establish trust with key stakeholders and other professionals throughout the firm.

      **The positions are eligible for a hybrid work arrangement and must be within commuting distance to one of the firm's offices. The positions will be expected to go into the office at least once a week.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Serve as a strategic business development resource for the firm’s practice groups, industry groups, and individual attorneys
      • Build trusted working relationship­­s with attorneys, identifying potential opportunities, developing strategy, action plans, and budgets, and driving discussion around ongoing efforts
      • Support expansion of client relationships by coordinating and collaborating across practice groups and offices
      • Collaborate with others on the Marketing & Business Development team to execute business development-related initiatives and efforts
      • Track data to measure effectiveness of business development efforts
      • Manage a database of representative matters
      • Conduct research and analyze market intelligence
      • Proactively identify developments and trends that may offer emerging areas of opportunity
      • Actively participate in the firm’s proprietary business development training program, Origination Culture - may include facilitating attorney group discussions, delivering training sessions, and/or providing individual coaching
      • Other duties as assigned in support of business development efforts for the firm

      Skills and Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications preferred.
      • Professional coaching certification preferred.
      • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development and/or marketing in a law firm or other professional services environment.
      • Understanding of business development strategy and related marketing activities in a B2B and B2C environment.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Excellent interpersonal relationship-building skills.
      • Strong project management, leadership, coaching, and analytical skills.
      • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment with a client service focus.
      • Occasional travel required.
