Drive Growth. Build Relationships. Make an Impact.

Are you passionate about building meaningful connections, representing a trusted financial brand, and driving results through strategic outreach? Would friends and strangers describe you as an extrovert? Are you fluent with words and highly persuasive if you are passionate about something? Do you thrive in an organization that values your ability to build relationships?

If you answered "YES!", we are looking for YOU!

ACU of Texas is looking for a dynamic Business Development Officer (BDO) to join our team and champion growth across the Greater Pearland, Deer Park, Cypress, and Brenham areas. As our BDO, you'll be the face of ACU of Texas in the communities we serve—engaging with local businesses, attending events, and developing partnerships that fuel member growth and brand recognition. This is not a desk job—you’ll be out in the field, making real-world impact through strategic sales efforts and community presence.

      What You’ll Bring:

      • 2-5 Years of successful outside sales, business development, or community relations experience-ideally in banking or credit unions
      • Knowledge of financial products and services (loans, deposit accounts, etc.)
      • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

      What You’ll Do:

      • Drive growth and brand awareness by identifying key market areas, promoting credit union visibility, and supporting new member and financial growth initiatives.
      • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with potential business partners (employers, organizations, and community groups) to support strategic growth and exceed credit union goals.
      • Manage a robust business development pipeline by adding, tracking, and nurturing qualified prospects.
      • Develop and sustain strategic partnerships, including Residential Service Loan partners, aligned with the credit union’s goals and business plan.
      • Conduct and analyze market research and ROI metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and ensure alignment with business objectives; prepare regular performance reports.
      • Plan and execute outreach efforts by independently scheduling visits to branches, business partners, and community organizations on a consistent basis.
      • Collaborate with internal departments (branch operations, business banking, and others) to support cross-functional business development efforts and enhance volunteer participation.
      • Maintain a disciplined calling program to capture high-quality deposit and loan opportunities with new and existing partners.
      • Represent the credit union at community events (including evenings and weekends as needed) and collaborate with the Community Development Officer on outreach initiatives.
