      How This Role Impacts Live Oak and its People

      The Business Development Officer, Treasury Management will play a critical role as part of the Treasury Management ("TM") team responsible for the sales and servicing of our business deposit products. The Business Development Officer will exhibit significant experience in all business banking products offered by Live Oak. They will be responsible for driving customer growth and account utilization within. As ongoing projects or new products become available, the TM will be involved and expected to collaborate with other teams regarding Business Deposit accounts. Some travel may be required for site visits to customers.

      What You’ll Do at Live Oak

      • Business Development – Manage all elements of the Treasury Management sales cycle, including prospect qualification, needs analysis, and closing sales.

      • Client Management – Retain and grow the customer portfolio through regular service reviews, calls, and industry training.

      • Consultative Sales – Use consultative and strategic sales skills to turn prospects into clients

      • Solution Design – Design customer-centric treasury management solutions and provide expertise on the liquidity management cycle.

      • Internal Support – Serve as a liaison between Lending and Deposit teams to provide a comprehensive service experience to current and potential business customers.

      How You’ll Do It

      • Serve as Business Deposit customer’s primary source of contact throughout life of the account or loan

      • Consult internal & external customers on Everyday Banking products and processes; briefly discuss Lending products and provide clean and informative handoffs to Lending teams as necessary

      • Follow up to referrals with clear information, log all contacts, and respond promptly

      • Utilize technology to manage leads, pipeline, and referral sources; stay abreast of portfolio metrics and performance

      • Develop industry expertise in specified market niches

      • Work with Treasury clients to move them from a lead to an opened account and ensure accuracy and a premium customer experience

      • Work closely with a GTM Specialist for Treasury clients, who will perform ongoing servicing for a portfolio of customers

      • Work closely with Deposit Ops and Customer Success teams as needed for account maintenance

      Required and Preferred Experience

      • 5+ years of prior banking experience and/or Live Oak banking experience is required

      • Proven experience in treasury management sales or a related field

      • Strong consultative sales skills, relationship management, and product knowledge

      • Ability to work under stressful conditions, particularly in customer situations

      • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to evaluate multiple alternatives to achieve goals

      • Self-starter and proactive worker; offers creative solutions

      • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills

      • Strong partnership skills and ability to collaborate across multiple groups in the organization

      Education

      • Bachelor’s Degree required

      The base pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
