      Job Summary

      Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Reporting and BI, Responsible for designing and implementing data analysis and reporting solutions to meet the data and reporting needs of the enterprise’s clinical department. Work closely with customers from clinical department and population health management to identify and maximize opportunities to utilize Epic Payer Platform and underlying data structures namely Clarity and Caboodle and Epic Cogito dashboards to improve business processes, quality and regulatory reporting.

      Essential Functions
      Designs, develops and supports high-quality dashboard visualizations which provide a consistent user experience and highlight key data elements determined by stakeholders
      Take part in the iterative process of designing , developing, refining, and testing dashboards and reports with a special focus on clinical reports.
      Work with stakeholders to identify data needs, develop data models, and build and maintain reporting systems. Responsible for ensuring that data is accurate, timely, and accessible to support business decisions and improve outcomes
      Offer best practices in distributing content via PowerBI and Epic reporting tools
      Interpret the business needs of the key stakeholders and develop actionable and accessible dashboards and reports, leveraging data visualization tools e.g. PowerBI
      Retrieve, organize, and manipulate data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Epic’s Clarity database and other databases. This will require programming (SQL or similar) to prepare data for reporting and analysis.
      Responsible for completing thorough quality assurance procedures ensuring accuracy, reliability, and validity of work
      Build strong customer relationships and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations; establish and maintain effective customer relationships – both internal as well as external
      Performs other duties as assigned

      Qualifications

      Education
      Bachelor's Degree Information Systems preferred

      Epic Certification or Accreditation in Reporting Modules, preferably Cogito, Clarity and Caboodle Data Model Preferred

      Required experience designing reports and dashboards using PowerBI and other data visualization tools 2-3 years required

      Required experience with programming languages and/or statistical software including SQL and SSIS 2-3 years required

      Preferred experience with programming languages and/or statistical software including SAS, Python, SSRS, or R 2-3 years preferred

      Two or more years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in a professional healthcare setting, working with business users in developing analytical solutions to meet clinical and operational/ business needs 2-3 years preferred

      Prior experience with Epic’s Cogito suite 1-2 years preferred

      Prior experience building reports using Epic’s reporting tools, including Radar, Reporting Workbench and SlicerDicer 1-2 years preferred

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

      Ability to function effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment, organize and prioritize work independently, and meet tight deadlines.

      Ability to interpret and document regulatory and business reporting requirements

      Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization.

      Practical problem-solving abilities, i.e. the ability to formulate hypotheses and test options.

      Strong visualization and usability design skills.

      Intermediate programming language and/or statistical software skills (SQL, SAS, Python, SSIS, SSRS or R)

      Ability to build reports using Epic reporting tools such as Radar, Reporting Workbench and SliceDicer.
