      Onsite -This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Arlington, TX on a full-time basis.

      The Role : As a Business Manager, you will have supervisory responsibility for a hourly medium/large group of employees in the implementation and execution of the established business process for an area in the production operations and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Possess the ability to deal with complex problems. Supervise a medium to large group of salaried employees involved in multiple departments/processes. May manage across multiple shifts.

      What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

      Develop and analyze information necessary to provide strategic planning for the departmental manpower and planning. Plans and develops new methods of approach to solve complex planning problems.

      • Responsible for overall coordination and communication of department and shift activities

      • Support the department Business Plan Deployment activities

      • Develops course of action for a variety of strategic initiatives and functional activities

      • Supports daily operations to achieve required SPQRC result identifies and implements opportunities for improvement to support BPD

      • Functions as department GMS principle Basketweave representative leading implementation of element improvements and initiatives across all shifts

      • Train and Coach Group Leaders and Team Leaders/Members on Business Processes (BPD, GMS, TIP, contract requirements, and problem-solving).

      • Facilitates documentation, problem solving and quality feedback measures

      • Coordinates planning for department hourly manpower transfer activity, vacation, and training. Works with union counterparts on fulfilling balance and strategies. 1st shift is the lead for this activity.

      • Manage 3rd party contracts

      • Coordinate CIP activities and projects with CI team

      • Flexible to rotate shifts

      • Cover Shift lead and Group lead as needed

      Additional Job Description

      • Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

      • Minimum 5 years working in a leadership role in Manufacturing Environment
      • Knowledge of quality control procedures, manufacturing processes and management systems as they relate to production operations.
      • Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
