      Description

      OVERVIEW:

      • Administers human resources, business, and financial operations for a department, division, or school.
      • Creates, implements, evaluates, and revises budgets, accounts, policies, and procedures relating to operational activities in the areas of: human resources, facilities management, and research.
      • Assists in coordinating, providing input for, monitoring and improving the human resources and business operational activities.
      • Assists in planning, implementing and evaluating a variety of activities and special projects affecting area's operations.
      • Prepares or assists in preparing departmental budgets and forecasts of future budget requirements.
      • May ensure that awarded grants conform to defined budget parameters.
      • Negotiates new and renewal contracts with vendors.
      • Directs logistical and clerical support activities, and coordinates specific data collection efforts and special projects. Designs and generates reports. May supervise staff.
      • Performs related responsibilities as required.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      • A bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.
      • Three years of professional business or management experience.
      • Some positions in this classification may require previous supervisory experience.
