Business Oversight Compliance Manager
Isle of ManAs a Barclays Business Oversight Compliance (BOC) Manager, you will provide world class business oversight compliance advice to Barclays Bank PLC, Isle of Man branch. You will promote consistent compliance, at every level, with Barclays Group and divisional policies, standards and procedures relating to the banking and investment services we provide. Providing effective issue management in line with second line accountabilities, you will be a trusted advisor to the Head of Compliance.

What will you be doing?
• Reinforcing the identification and management of conduct risk and reputation risk ensuring the right outcomes for clients are embedded in business decision making
• Helping the Head of Compliance in the Isle of Man in the discharge of their regulatory accountabilities and assisting with regulatory relationship management
• Escalating matters of significance whilst retaining the accountability to resolve those matters within your second line of defence role
• Balancing commercial and regulatory risk whilst identifying and managing conduct risk in a complex environment to ensure the right outcomes for clients
• Developing alternative solutions for business colleagues and identifying key areas for risk mitigation
• Engaging multiple stakeholders at all levels whilst building and maintaining effective relationships with business colleagues
• Displaying the technical knowledge to be able to effectively check and challenge business colleagues as part of an embedded second line of defence function
• Managing stakeholders across the business and supporting effective and transparent engagement with the Isle of Man Financial Services AuthorityWhat we’re looking for:
• An experienced compliance or financial crime specialist with excellent stakeholder management skills and decision making experience within a large financial services business
• Detailed knowledge of the Isle of Man regulatory requirements and a good understanding of global regulatory environments and global standards
• Professional Qualifications such as the those offered by the International Compliance Association i.e. International Compliance Diploma
• Significant knowledge of financial products covering banking and investment business
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English), as excellent social skills will be required for the role
• Ability to build productive relationships with all colleagues across the businesses and within the compliance team both face to face and as part of a virtual team
• The ability to apply knowledge practically and pragmatically with an understanding of the commercial environmentWhere will you be working?
