      Job Description:
      This job is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic initiatives and/or processes aligned to priorities within a functional area and/or business. Key responsibilities include defining, developing, executing, monitoring, and/or refining strategic initiatives and processes in close collaboration with key stakeholders and internal partners.

      The Retail Transformation team is responsible for delivering responsible growth by leading the planning and execution of OpEx and large Risk initiatives requiring technology change. The Retail Transformation team analyzes call types and client insights to identify enhancements to improve client experience, drive digital adoption, increase automation, and reduce call volume.

      The Associate Facing Solutions team within Retail Transformation manages desktop applications and platform integration to improve servicing through new capabilities and streamlining process inefficiencies. The team is accountable for the desktop platform strategy & planning, roadmap and project execution in partnership with key partners (Technology and Business partners across the enterprise) and manages cross-functional initiatives that improve performance.

      This Business Strategy & Initiative Manager role reports to the head of Associate Facing Solutions and will be responsible for leading new cross-functional initiatives from ideation to execution and delivery. We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead and oversee desktop platform initiatives within the Retail Transformation organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage direct reports, allocate resources effectively, and drive the execution of desktop platform initiatives to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

      The candidate should have a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, experience managing direct reports, ability to optimally allocate resources to achieve strategic objectives, experience managing the prioritization and agile story point distribution, overseeing funding allocation, maintaining project management standards, and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and flawlessly.

      Responsibilities:

      • Builds and/or executes business initiatives and/or processes, while partnering with stakeholders and partners
      • Solves complex problems and delivers on business initiatives and processes by applying subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of the business
      • Engages with key stakeholders, partners, and business leadership to deliver on business objectives
      • Performs analytics, assessments, and/or interpretation of data and/or information to identify business opportunities, derive insights, and measure outcomes
      • Develops strategic and tactical plans to drive progress towards business goals and objectives

      Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

      • Strong ability to communicate with executives, business leaders, and technical teams to ensure alignment and transparency across initiatives
      • Proficiency in leveraging data analytics, reporting tools, and performance metrics to drive strategic decisions

      Portfolio & Initiative Management:

      • Lead annual strategic planning processes for the desktop platform
      • Manage desktop platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy and technology roadmaps
      • Oversee and prioritize the portfolio of projects, balancing scope and resources
      • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap that optimizes investments in desktop platform technologies
      • Ability to identify, assess, and proactively mitigate risks related to project execution, funding, and technology implementation
      • Work closely with technology partners and business stakeholders to forecast costs and align funding with strategic objectives

      Agile Execution & Story Point Allocation:

      • Oversee story point allocation to ensure teams are working efficiently within agile frameworks
      • Partner with technology leadership and product owners/managers to manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and capacity planning
      • Track and report on team’s key metrics to optimize delivery and reveal opportunities
      • Provide transparency into spend and drive cost optimization

      Leadership & Team Management:

      • Directly manage a team of project managers, providing mentorship and career development
      • Build a high-performing team culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and accountability
      • Foster strong relationships across technology, Retail/Preferred business partners and the Retail Transformation organization
      • Experience leading change efforts related to technology initiatives and process improvements, following change management standards
      • Understanding of desktop platforms and associate facing tools to drive innovation in the desktop environment

      Required Qualifications:

      • 5+ years of experience in portfolio management, program management, or a similar leadership role within technology or financial services
      • Experience managing agile delivery frameworks
      • Deep understanding of story point allocation, backlog management, and sprint execution
      • Proven ability to manage budgets and funding models
      • Experience in financial services, fintech, or enterprise technology environments

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Strong leadership skills with experience managing direct reports and cross-functional teams
      • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
      • Familiarity with JIRA or other agile project management tools
      • Strong expertise in desktop platforms or end-user computing solutions

      Pay range

      $115,000.00 - $176,500.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

      Discretionary incentive eligible

      This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
