      Permanent contract | £32,076 to £33,945 per annum (Scale H) | 37 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich

      Main duties of the job

      Norfolk First Response is recruiting a Business Support Manager due to retirement of the current post holder. This critical rolewillleadand coordinate the day-to-day business support activity across NFR to deliver and meet agreed service levels for quality and timeliness as alignedtoNCCCustomerCareStandards.

      The successful applicant will work closely with the senior management team supporting with budget setting, monitoring and forecasting following corporate processes. Tohaveacomprehensiveknowledge andunderstandingofallrelevant business systems, procedures and processes across NFR and NCC; support in the administration of NFRs digital care system; and with the Service Development Manager lead in the development andimplementationofnewsystems andinitiatives as required.

      Experience

      Essential

      • Ability to manage and forecast budget expenditure
      • Experience of promoting good performance and managing poor performance Experience of planning and chairing meetings
      • Good leadership that promotes strong team working relationships
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with members of the public, staff and other professional
      • Experience of the recruitment, selection and training procedures
      • Analytical, problem solving and producing reports as required by Service Manager
      • Ability to manage resources within a budget
      • Experience of maintenance of staff records, returns and statistics
      • Experience of supervising and line managing staff

      Qualifications

      Essential

      • Education to GCE/GCSE Level (including 5 passes at A C Level inc. minimum of grade C in English and Maths)
      • An appropriate administrative/management qualification at NVQ level 4 or equivalent.

      Desirable

      • Graduate with a post graduate level management qualification or other relevant professional qualification

      Essential

      • Ability to work as part of a team to support service developments and change to meet operational needs.
      • Confident in the use of ICT and mobile technology (smart phones/tablets/laptops) and Microsoft suite. as required by the role.
