Job Title: Business Systems Analyst Advanced
Job Location: 600 E Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, MI 48226
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday
Duties: Develop automation/data driven solutions for Actuarial business processes. Prepare comprehensive documentation of these solutions. Present solutions to Actuarial business partners. Support training needs as teams take ownership of automation solutions. Create technical design specifications and assist in sizing technical requirements as needed. Develop educational materials on query writing and data tool use, specifically tailored to Actuarial analyst. Evaluate existing applications and platforms and provides recommendations for improving application performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of modifications. Learn about Actuarial business processes and advocate for Actuarial data needs with respect to their business processes. Proactively identify new data sources or tools for enhancing Actuarial teams' business processes. Role is Hybrid within a normal commuting distance of the Detroit, MI office.
Requirements: Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and two (2) years of experience as a Software Development Intern, Business Systems Analyst, or related role where experience was gained. Employer will also accept four (4) years of experience as a Software Development Intern, Business Systems Analyst, or related role where experience was gained, in lieu of a degree. Also requires at least 2 years of experience in the following:• Oracle;
• Toad;
• SQL Server;
• PL/SQL;
• WebFocus;
• Hive;
• Impala;
• Alation;
• Tableau; and
• Databricks.SALARY: $122,803 per year
