What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as the Information Technology Advisor for Buildings and Energy programs, advising on technical investments and IT solutions
- Lead technology efforts as the project manager for the development and implementation of IT solutions
- Develop internal process improvements and manage the BEPS IT project budget of $5.3 million
- Analyze business requests and translate them into business process requirements and system designs
- Identify and resolve sophisticated system issues while ensuring compliance with new mandates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Five years of in-depth experience as a business systems analyst or equivalent education and experience
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and templates
- Strong communication and active listening skills, capable of connecting with technical and business staff
- General knowledge of database structures and tools (e.g., SQL, Oracle, MS Access)
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer technology, or a related field
- Experience with vendors providing support for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications
- Experience implementing off-the-shelf business applications, including design and testing
- Experience leading small IT projects with diverse IT staff resources
- Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) products and vendor communication
