What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead technology investments for the Office of Sustainability's Building Emissions Performance Standard (BEPS)
- Act as the subject matter expert on technology solutions to support complex business practices
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver technical solutions in line with project milestones
- Analyze system issues, propose solutions, and assist with implementation and testing
- Support the ongoing operations and maintenance of the BEPS and Energy Benchmarking portal application
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Five years of experience as a business systems analyst or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the position duties
- Advanced knowledge of database structures and tools, including SQL and Oracle
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and templates
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and active listening skills to connect with both technical and business staff
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer technology, or a related field
- Experience working with vendors for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications
- Experience implementing off-the-shelf business applications, including design and testing
- Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) products and vendor communication
- Ability to lead small IT projects with staff from various IT specialties
