      How will you make an impact?

      The Buyer/Planner III's primary responsibility will be handling the day to day materials planning and placement of purchase orders for the assigned commodities. The person will also support cost reduction strategies, purchase agreements, new source identification and selection, and leads supplier relationships. This position works closely with operations, planning and R&D to facilitate and implement cost reduction projects by demonstrating other internal business units and sourcing to optimally drive cost out of the supply chain. This position will also serve on client core teams to coordinate material planning and GMP production.

      What will you do?

      • Use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to plan and complete purchase orders.
      • Understands and communicates component specifications to suppliers
      • Collaborate with corporate global trade and logistics to update and maintain required compliance code in SAP for all parts.
      • Responsible to review change orders and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to update required data and communicate efficiently.
      • Locate, evaluate and select suppliers and potential suppliers to gain the best quality, cost and delivery of purchased material consistent with required standards.
      • Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data and establish facts i.e. Review procurement history and usage to settle safety stocks.
      • Ability to take initiative and work independently towards defined goals, maintain procurement goals at highest level. Attention to details a must.
      • Lead metrics to monitor overall success and efficiency of procurement performance.
      • Strong customer service focus to improve happiness, demonstrate judgment, tact and subtlety in dealing with internal and external customers.

      How will you get here?

      Education:

      • Minimum required education: High School Diploma/ GED
      • Bachelor’s degree preferred with evidence of operational, leadership, or professional experience.

      Experience:

      • 5+ years previous experience with ERP/MRP, raw materials planning, and production planning (within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is ideal)
      • Knowledge of cGMP and SOPs
      • Ability to perform root cause analyses and drive problems to resolution
      • Confirmed experience in procurement or purchasing
      • Detail oriented and ability to communicate adequately with clients (both written and oral)

      • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence leadership and all levels of the organization.
      • Able to drive continuous improvement in both non-operational and operational areas, including connecting the cross-functional resources to remove waste along the extended value streams.

      Compensation and Benefits:

      The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $81,800 – $122,750
