What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Produce precise 2D and 3D designs according to project leader’s specifications, converting hand-drawn sketches into digital formats
- Collaborate closely with internal team members, engineers, and architects to discuss design concepts and incorporate feedback into drawings
- Update models and drawings throughout construction or manufacturing to reflect changes and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Manage documentation and maintain accurate records of all drawings and archives securely
- Participate in frequent collaboration with stakeholders during design and construction phases
What is Required (Qualifications):
- An associate's degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field, or 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit, with a solid understanding of drafting techniques and engineering terminology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical aspects clearly
- Creative and critical thinking skills to support the project team during design
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional courses in CAD software
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to architectural design
- Proven track record of successful collaboration in a team-oriented environment
