What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide efficient account receivable services to maximize reimbursement for member clinics
- Accurately bill various payors, including Medicare and Medicaid, in compliance with policies
- Monitor and collect receivables, resubmit claims, and alert supervisors of overdue accounts
- Maintain accurate billing records and address patient inquiries with compassionate customer service
- Collaborate with team members to enhance collection processes and strategies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a relevant billing role; 2 years preferred
- California billing experience required
- High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EPIC preferred
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing processes

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinics (RHC)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex billing issues
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients and team members
- Experience with various billing and reimbursement processes, including legal requirements
