What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, handling inbound calls and utilizing an outbound dialer system
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a solution-focused approach during interactions
- Educate customers and arrange repayment schedules to meet departmental goals
- Perform collection activities in compliance with state and local collection laws
- Utilize critical thinking skills to resolve customer inquiries and issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in collections and/or customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and organize information effectively
- Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of loan collection policies, fair debt collection practices, and related laws
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Proven time-management skills
- Experience working with targets and deadlines
- Strong customer service and relations skills
