What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and interpret veterinarian orders and prescriptions for appropriateness and safety
- Manage prescription workflow processes, correcting errors and documenting patient profiles
- Verify prescriptions for pets in accordance with policies and regulations, and counsel pet owners on medications
- Oversee the work performed by support personnel, including data entry related to pet medications
- Maintain focus on tasks while efficiently completing job functions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and a current Pharmacist license in good standing
- Veterinary compounding experience preferred
- Experience with PCAB accreditation preferred
- Multiple state licenses preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and compounded preparations

- Familiarity with veterinary compounding practices
- Experience in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
- Leadership skills to coach and mentor pharmacy team members
- Proficiency in using multiple data entry systems
- Ability to multitask effectively between job functions
