What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage a multi-line phone system and respond to health information and referral requests from the community
- Handle incoming calls for after-hours services and direct them to appropriate medical staff
- Schedule new patient appointments and manage class registrations for various healthcare services
- Identify emergency situations and transfer calls to registered nurses as necessary
- Maintain and update databases of physician and service profile information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and function with minimal supervision after training
- Demonstrated typing competency with a minimum speed of 40 wpm
- Previous experience in a customer service role is essential
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting or call center environment
- Familiarity with Epic software for appointment scheduling
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high call volumes
