      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Abstract specific patient information from various sources, including medical records, and code this information into a database
      - Maintain and edit data for accuracy and completeness in accordance with prescribed protocols
      - Manage record-keeping systems and procedures for clinical studies
      - Collaborate with the Supervisor of Cancer Registry to support departmental objectives
      - Ensure compliance with standards for cancer registry and clinical trials

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred
      - Completion of Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology courses required
      - Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Cancer Registrar preferred
      - CTR certification or eligibility required; certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire
      - Demonstrated knowledge of clinical trials is required

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Knowledge of standards for Commission on Cancer (CoC) and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) preferred
      - Experience working in a healthcare setting with a focus on cancer registry
