      As a Barclays Capital Optimization Vice President, you’ll support RMG (Resource Management Group)– Business Optimisation with management of Financial Resources for the Securitized Products business across products, regions and entities. You’ll focus on tactical BAU optimization and strategic optimization of financial resources for Barclays entities globally, help the firm navigate rapid regulatory changes, and provide Trading and Sales with guidance on optimizing financial resource consumption.

      What will you be doing?

      • Working with Securitized Products and Cross Markets business areas to optimize financial resource consumption (LBS, RWA), drive efficiencies and manage within targets and limits
      • Utilizing statistical and quantitative techniques to interpret and analyse big data sets
      • Using strategic thinking and analytical skills to turn data into actionable information
      • Preparing for regulatory changes (e.g. FRTB); influencing product development; and improving risk, capital and profitability assessments
      • Working on any critical ad-hoc requests that impact the firm and business
      • Supporting the economic funding function including analysis of drivers of unsecured funding requirements
      • Coordinating with Treasury and RMG Trading to support forecasts and MTP planning

      What we’re looking for:

      • Degree in Math, Engineering, Finance or related field
      • Solid quantitative and analytical background, with excellent problem solving skills

      Skills that will help you in the role:

      • Hardworking with an eye for detail
      • Effective team player but with an ability to work independently
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

      Where will you be working?

      You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
