Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of related experience in higher education, industry, or government in a role related to career services or advising, recruiting, training, or professional development.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented.
Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Advise Students: Works with current and former students interested in attending professional schools after graduation. Handles individual advising appointments, group advising, and walk-in advising hours.
Design and Implement Workshops, Programs, and Resources: Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates workshops and programs. Compiles and analyzes statistics for assessment purposes. This includes creating and maintaining advising materials, handouts, videos, and other materials. Maintains relationships with admissions personnel at professional schools in order to ensure viable, up-to-date information is accessible and disseminated to students.
Develop Student Learning Opportunities: Develops strategic plans for webinar opportunities as well as assessments for student learning. Works with applicable student groups to delineate pertinent information.
Develops Statistics, Analyses, and Surveys for Assessment: With the ever-growing population of students that are seeking professional school admission, assessments will be on-going in order to develop best practices on an on-going basis.
Develop and Maintain College and Department Goals, Objectives, and Operations: Participates in planning, directing, and coordinating operational or procedural matters to meet college and department goals and objectives. Responsible for departmental operations with team.

Who We Are
The Texas A&M University Career Center provides centralized career and professional development services for undergraduate, graduate, and former students. We provide individualized career advising while also empowering students to utilize self-assessment resources to identify and explore careers, and we assist and support students in gaining relevant experience and pursuing their career goals, whether they choose to seek admission to graduate school or secure professional employment. One of the largest programs of its kind in the nation, the Career Center has been recognized nationally and regionally for our many best practices. What We Want
The Career Services Coordinator is responsible for advising current and former students in their preparation concerning the various processes for successful admission to professional school(s). This includes planning, developing, implementing, and managing services, workshops, resources, and programing to support the large population of Texas A&M current and former students which seek admission to professional school(s). This position will create and maintain advising materials, handouts, videos, and other materials as well as work with professional school admissions personnel in order to ensure that viable, up-to-date information is accessible and disseminated to students in a timely manner.
