Contribute to regular design and status meetings with the Lab team

Manage technology hardware and software related to testing prototypes and presenting to internal groups
-
Create assets for prototypes including film clips, images, animated gifs, diagrams, charts, and other multimedia
-
Technology research such as viewing and participating in competitor analysis of interactive media and digital campaigns in the luxury industry
-
Presentation and microsite creation and editing (MS Sharepoint, OneDrive and Atalassian Confluence)
-
On-site visits to NYC regional boutiques for interviews, prototype testing and related activities
-
Comfort with rapid prototyping tools and workshop environment a plus
-
Bachelor’s degree in design, interactive technology or any other related fields.

Desire to gain relevant experience in applied technology innovation preferred.

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Desire for technology experience outside of the technology industry a positive.

Experience and/or desire to learn hardware hacking, software wireframing and design development skills.

Strong communication skills in verbal and written format.

Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program at the time of application

Visual technological savvy – comfortable using (or learning about) cameras, screens, touch interfaces, web applications and servers.

Skill in coding is not required but if you have proficiency in Python, OpenCV, extended reality (XR) development or interactive web development there is room for these skills to be put to use.

An innovative thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, you might even thrive on ambiguity.

Able to work a full-time schedule throughout the course of our Summer Internship Program

Authorized to work in the United States; International students must have a current work visa, Richemont North America will not sponsor work visa’s for summer internships

Retail Innovation Lab Technology Intern, Cartier North America
The Retail Innovation Lab is currently a department of 8 people staffed with specialists in design, technology, production and strategy who develop new approaches to luxury retail for the Cartier North America market. The Innovation Lab’s process is design-led and discovery-oriented; we investigate topics close to the business with the collaboration of our NA team members. The Retail Innovation Lab is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
