Job summary
The catering department at MMUH is looking to recruit a part time experienced Catering Assistant to work within patient services at our new hospital Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick within patient services
Applicants must have previous catering experience with high standards of work, be an outgoing, hard-working and enthusiastic individual that is able to work on their own initiative.
Shift Pattern
Week 1 Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun 4pm to 8pm Week 2 Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun 4pm to 8pm Average 18 hoursApplicants are required to be flexible in their approach to hours and duties and able to work additional shifts as and when required.
Main duties of the job
To carry out a wide range of general catering duties in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that a high quality service is provided at all times. This post has a significant amount of personal contact with Staff, Patients and Members of the Public.
Duties include washing up patient crockery and cutlery, reheating patient food, dealing with any requests from wards, associated general/deep cleaning duties and completion of control paperwork.
