Department Overview:
The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members and visitors through shared cultural, social and recreational events and experiences.
Anticipated Hours Per Week
5 or more Schedule:
Flexible; shifts vary. Location will be both Memorial Union and Union South.
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $15.00 to $15.00 Number Of Positions
50 Position Summary/Job Duties:
● Assist permanent food service staff with preparing a variety of hot and cold foods (i.e. salads, sandwiches, appetizers, baked goods, pre-dishing meals, etc)
● Attend to customer's food and beverage needs during a catered event
● Clean, slice, and season ingredients
● Prepare and present food items for buffets and meals
● Retrieving, restocking, and replenishing food and supplies
● Set up and take down serving lines, tables, or portable units
● Help prepare for the next day's production
● Clean and prepare work and storage areas
