      PURPOSE: The Account Manager serves as a specialized administrative extension of the Account Management team in support of the client’s benefits team and the client’s employees and reports directly to a manager/director within the Account Management team.

      The Account Manager provides personalized service to clients and is dedicated to making sure the client’s needs and questions are taken care of within the scope of Alight’s services. The position is responsible for the provision of claim-related data and issue resolution for clients. The Account Manager does not provide counsel or input on a client’s employment-related decisions. This role may be located at an Alight location or at a client location.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Working knowledge of internal systems, including but not limited to; LeavePro, 360, Jira, NXT, Self -Service Portal and reporting across other applications and platforms
      • Support’s Client LeavePro and or 360 system acceptance testing
      • Expertise in leading client training for self-service portal, application and or platform training
      • Responds to client inquiries related to Disability and Leave of Absence
      • Prepare agendas and attend Account Management meetings and client calls.
      • Resolves issues with escalated employee claim issues and reports back to Client/HR department
      • Maintains key topics and escalation logs
      • Submit requests for document updates because of changes in process. i.e. BRD, end to end processes, etc.
      • Research and investigate technology issues, including managing file feed escalations
      • Recommends process improvements and ways to streamline (after vetting with Account Executive and Operations) and follows change management approval process.
      • Serves as a resource for the client and acts as an Alight Leave Solutions subject matter expert
      • Maintains all related documents, files and legal requests with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
      • Delivers weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting to client as needed
      • Partners with Account Executive, Operations, and/or Business Intelligence to deliver analytics for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed

      OTHER DUTIES:

      • Assist with claim system – related tasks such as letter creation, work orders, user testing, etc.
      • Attends department meetings and company meetings as required
      • Takes ownership for assigned project work with guidance from Account Executive / Account Director
      • Collaborates with Account Executive to facilitate communication between clients and the appropriate internal partners on tactical initiatives
      • Owns escalation intake, documentation and responses
      • Partners with internal Alight team, Client Benefits/Absence Management Team to resolve claim discrepancies
      • Performs a variety of administrative duties in support of the client as well as the Account Management Executive with a high level of attention to detail
      • Works collaboratively with the Client Benefits/Absence Management Team, Account Executive, Operations, and/or Business Intelligence to identify trends in service/claims
      • Attends Client Services and Operations meetings and calls, produces meeting notes, and conducts follow-up with Reed Group team and client as needed
      • Supports leadership-approved, Client-sponsored benefit events
      • May serve as a liaison and provide assistance to members filing claims and navigating internal resources for escalated or high-priority employees

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant education and experience
      • Demonstration of diplomacy, good judgment, professionalism, analytical skills and the ability to handle confidential information
      • Excellent communication skills (oral/written)
      • Demonstrates knowledge of Disability Management, FMLA, and Workers Compensation and Payroll
      • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a positive attitude
      • Well organized, able to multi-task and identify priorities
      • Project management experience preferred
      • Multi-tasks and identifies competing priorities. Hits target dates
      • Proficient computer skills in data entry and attention to detail
      • Microsoft Word and Excel intermediate level experience
      • Supports departmental initiatives and other duties as specified

      • Client offices as per contract
      • Up to 10% travel within US

      Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $44,600.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $70,800.00/year (for full-time employees).
