What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurance benefits by contacting insurance companies and utilizing state portals
- Enter admissions and client services into relevant systems
- Obtain authorizations and re-authorizations for clients receiving care
- Prepare reports as assigned and participate in team meetings
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive information in client accounts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years of experience in the healthcare or personal service industry
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel and Word
- Understanding of issues related to authorizations and eligibility
- Knowledge of Medicaid programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in home health care or hospice services
- Familiarity with patient care and support services
- Strong communication and customer service skills
